New website for KLC Counselling
Sometime last year and with an open mind I attended a continuing professional development workshop set-up to help counsellors/therapists to evaluate their on-line marketing. This event was set up by a respected fellow counsellor (Jo Watson), who had invited Jez Tromans of Net Media Marketing to deliver the days training for us all. Particularly useful was that Jez had a good understanding of the very specific sensitivities of marketing a counselling service on-line and what ethical considerations would need to be considered.
An eye opener!
Jez shared with us how important it is to see things through the eyes of our clients and how so many subtle things can impact on a clients decision to pick up the phone/book an appointment. We talked in depth about niche marketing for counsellors and how important it is to be clear on which clients might best benefit from a therapists services. We touched on how a website can build relationships and nurture trust and how this in turn can help with breaking down boundaries, ultimately leading to faster/improved therapeutic outcomes.
Whilst I left with a head overflowing with information and a list of action points as long as my arm, I would have to say that the day was an eye opener and well worth the hours invested. A number of things were quickly actioned, but it is only today that I can proudly announce our newly revamped website – a very significant upgrade to our on-line presence and one that I hope will now better reflect the professional counselling services that we offer. I hope that our site visitors will feel more confident now to pick up the phone to KLC Counselling and that our new website will open the door to endless positive therapeutic journeys.
